Coordinate room assignments, reservations, arrivals, guest requests, and guest check-in and check-out operations.
The role is full time and non-management.
Guest and room operations
- Assign rooms according to guest requests and preferences when possible; pre-register designated guests and prepare key packets.
- Organize check-in and pre-registration procedures for arriving groups.
- Track room or checkout change requests, accommodate them when possible, and communicate status to appropriate staff.
- Confirm reservations and cancellations and review out-of-order rooms daily.
- Ensure rates match market codes and document exceptions.
- Verify and adjust guest billing, process check-ins and check-outs, activate room keys, and secure valid payment.
- Identify over-commitments, check duplicate reservations, and block rooms.
- Run daily reports and follow up with guests about requests or problems.
- Receive, record, and relay messages accurately; file guest paperwork.
- Welcome guests, address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests.
- Coordinate tasks with other departments, support team goals, and comply with quality standards.
- Follow company policies, maintain confidentiality and professional appearance, and protect company assets.
Preferred qualifications
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- Less than one year of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is listed as preferred; no license or certification is listed.
Work expectations
- Use computers and/or POS systems to enter and locate information.
- Speak clearly and professionally and prepare and review written documents accurately.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and move, lift, carry, push, pull, or place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
