Education and experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Five years of experience in a sales-related professional area.
Revenue and sales planning
- Solicit and book local catering business and develop group business.
- Assist with catering sales and operating budgets, revenue forecasting, weekly booking goals, and incentive reports.
- Help follow booking guidelines and maximize space and revenue.
- Support catering sales and marketing plans addressing revenue, customers, and the market.
Sales activities
- Support catering promotions and execute operational follow-through for booked business, including proposals, contracts, and customer correspondence.
- Sell menus, beverages, wines, facilities, destination services, business center services, and audio-visual services.
- Manage local and group catering sales efforts and distribute catering and group contracts before group arrival.
- Review competitor offerings and sell effectively against them.
Customer service
- Coordinate with guests, clients, property departments, vendors, competitors, and community contacts to support guest satisfaction.
- Deliver service that builds customer satisfaction and loyalty before and during events.
- Understand customer business needs and recommend suitable features and services.
- Support seamless event transitions between sales and operations.
