The Bartender prepares and serves drinks, maintains the bar, handles payments, and provides guest service.
Drink and bar service
- Prepare drink orders according to specified recipes and measuring systems.
- Open and serve wine and champagne bottles and prepare fresh garnishes.
- Set up and maintain the bar, bar unit, tables, tools, and surrounding areas.
- Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies; transport supplies to the bar setup area.
- Wash glassware and remove soiled wares from bar tops and tables.
Cash handling and closing
- Process payment methods, count the bank at shift end, and complete cashier reports.
- Resolve discrepancies, deliver receipts, and secure the bank.
- Communicate replenishment needs, secure beverage and storage areas, and complete closing duties.
Guest service and teamwork
- Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Communicate professionally, maintain positive working relationships, and support team goals.
Qualifications
- At least two years of related work experience is preferred.
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is required.
