Manage daily operations and profitability of a Canna Cabana retail establishment against business goals.
Oversee staff, customer satisfaction, product presentation, inventory, seasonal changes, and promotional activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers, model exemplary conduct, and resolve complaints professionally.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations and required standards.
- Maintain stock, conduct inventory counts, and prepare inventory reports.
- Promote the business and increase sales to meet goals; make purchasing decisions for volume discounts.
- Verify invoices, track expenditures, and ensure merchandise is presented neatly and priced correctly.
- Prepare management reports; manage cash accountability, receipts, revenue, bank deposits, and bank reconciliations.
- Coordinate cannabis and accessory ordering and receiving; supervise staff and coordinate productive operations.
Requirements
- Valid SellSafe certification is mandatory.
- High school completion and college/CEGEP, vocational, or technical training.
- At least five years of retail supervisory experience and at least three years in a full managerial role.
- Strong customer service, staff training and assessment, office administration, and Microsoft Office skills.
- Effective communication, teamwork, time management, planning, diplomacy, negotiation, conflict resolution, and people-management skills.
- Able to learn sales software quickly and maintain meticulous records.
- Available for shifts Monday through Sunday, including nights, holidays, and weekends, and for work at different locations.
- Valid First Aid certification is an asset.
Schedule
- Must be able to work any shift based on business needs, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
Work location
- The role is based at a retail store at 4600 Bowness Road NW, Calgary, Alberta.
