Role overview

Canna Cabana is hiring part-time Sales Associates for retail cannabis stores.

The role involves customer service and sales, product guidance, transactions, merchandising, inventory, and store upkeep.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and discuss their needs for merchandise or services, including type, quality, and quantity.
  • Maintain product and service knowledge and educate customers about cannabis without giving medical advice.
  • Replace and rotate stock, maintain inventory levels, support merchandising and promotions, and assist with displays.
  • Maintain store conditions and participate in store maintenance.
  • Take orders and prepare products for purchase; ensure accuracy in transactions, inventory, and procedures.
  • Resolve customer issues and ensure customers are satisfied with the resolution.
  • Work with management and colleagues to maximize sales and in-store presence.
  • Answer and transfer phone calls; follow health, safety, security, and company procedures.

Qualifications

  • CannSell cannabis retail certification is required.
  • A clean criminal background check must be provided before starting.
  • At least 2–3 years of retail sales and customer-service experience is required.
  • Knowledge of and passion for cannabis and accessories is required.
  • Availability for shifts Monday through Sunday, including nights, holidays, and weekends, and ability to work at different locations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and basic math skills are required.
  • Ability to educate customers about cannabis without offering medical advice is required.
  • A valid First Aid certification is considered an asset.

Schedule

  • Part-time, permanent position.
  • Must be available for shifts according to store operating needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation

  • Pay is CA$17.60–CA$18.50 per hour, with potential for bonuses.
