Supports store management and may oversee the Store Manager’s responsibilities when the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is absent.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and facilitate daily store operations; support personnel management and provide direction to associates.
- Maintain store standards and assist with staffing levels when requested.
- Model sales and customer service, assist customers, resolve complaints, and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Ensure company policies, applicable legislation, and health, safety, and security standards are followed.
- Achieve sales targets and store KPIs, and ensure employees pursue sales goals.
- Oversee and assist with inventory management and on-shift inventory processes.
Qualifications
- CannaSell SK certification is required before the first day; candidates may obtain it before starting.
- High school completion plus college/CEGEP, vocational, or technical training is required.
- A clean criminal background check must be provided before the start date.
- At least two years of retail experience is required; cannabis industry experience is preferred.
- Required skills include sales and service orientation, time management, prioritization, and ability to train and motivate staff.
- Must be able to work any shift Monday through Sunday, including nights, holidays, weekends, and different locations.
- Basic office administration skills and high proficiency with Microsoft Office are required.
- Strong teamwork, communication, customer service, troubleshooting, team-building, and health-and-safety knowledge are required; First Aid certification is an asset.
Employment and schedule
- The role is part-time and permanent.
- Shift availability is required across the full week, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
