Role Overview
Canna Cabana is hiring part-time, permanent Retail Sales Associates for its Cochrane cannabis retail store.
Store Responsibilities
- Greet customers and discuss the type, quality, and quantity of merchandise or services needed.
- Maintain product and service knowledge and prepare customer orders for purchase.
- Replace and rotate stock, maintain satisfactory inventory levels, and assist with inventory management.
- Support merchandising, accessory promotions, and merchandise displays.
- Maintain store standards, store maintenance, and general housekeeping.
- Ensure accurate transactions, inventory records, and procedures.
- Resolve customer issues professionally and help de-escalate irate customers.
- Verify customer identification as required by the Cannabis Retail Store Handbook.
- Answer and transfer internal and external phone calls.
- Follow company policies and health, safety, and security standards.
Qualifications
- Valid SellSafe Certification is mandatory.
- Ability to work shifts based on business needs from Monday through Sunday.
- Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends, and at different locations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, basic mathematics, attention to detail, and teamwork are sought.
- Passion for cannabis and interest in educating customers without giving medical advice are sought.
- Post-secondary education and sales or customer service experience are preferred.
- Valid First Aid Certification is an asset.
