Retail Shift Leader

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Recruit, coach, and train staff so the team educates and informs customers.
• Deliver a knowledgeable, genuine, and exceptional customer experience; create a welcoming environment and engage with the community.
• Keep the store inviting, spotless, and well merchandised; serve as a product expert and support staff development.
• Develop and implement processes and procedures, oversee inventory, and share product trends and customer needs.
• Maintain corporate visual merchandising standards and assist with audits and SLGA requirements.
• Use problem-solving and collaboration to address challenges.

Qualifications

• Must have or quickly obtain Smart Choices Cannabis certification and provide a clean criminal background check before starting.
• Demonstrated leadership and at least 1–2 years of retail supervisory experience.
• Able to work nights, holidays, weekends, evenings, weekdays, and at different locations.
• Able to develop and train staff through positive coaching and feedback.
• Strong organization, problem-solving, written and oral communication skills, and passion for customer service.
• First Aid certification is an asset; experience with similar brands or products is not necessary but is an asset.
• MS Office suite, POS expertise, related post-secondary education, and demonstrated visual planning and merchandising abilities.

Schedule

• Flexible schedule includes weekdays, weekends, and evenings; ability to work nights, holidays, and different locations is required.

Workplace

• Store-based role at 23–584 Pembina Highway, Pembina North, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
