The Retail IT Systems Specialist manages retail system operations, POS support, database administration, and migration to the DBS Retail Management System.
The role supports showroom POS systems and van sales operations to ensure reliable performance and smooth implementation.
Key responsibilities
- Manage migration from Microsoft LS Retail (Business Central/Navision) to the DBS Retail Management System.
- Coordinate implementation, data migration, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Support showroom POS systems, retail applications, and van sales operations.
- Administer SQL Server databases, including T-SQL queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and reporting.
- Troubleshoot .NET Core, C#, API integration, and application issues.
- Resolve POS hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Monitor system performance, data accuracy, and application-database integrations.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors; prepare documentation, reports, and user guidance.
- Maintain data integrity and system security and support business continuity.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience in retail IT, showroom POS systems, and van sales applications.
- Essential migration experience with Microsoft LS Retail, Dynamics 365 Business Central, or Navision.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization.
- Working knowledge of .NET Core, C#, and API troubleshooting.
- POS hardware troubleshooting and retail application support experience.
- Understanding of retail operations, inventory, sales transactions, and reporting.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and coordination skills.
Pay
- AED 7,000–10,000 per month.
