Role overview

Functional application support

• Provide day-to-day support and resolve application incidents, service requests, and user issues.
• Guide users on application functionality, workflows, best practices, and data management.
• Support testing, validation, and user acceptance for upgrades and enhancements; assist with configuration changes and process improvements.
• Manage user access, security roles, and permissions; work with technical teams and vendors on complex issues.
• Maintain user guides, procedures, and knowledge articles; deliver training, knowledge transfer, and onboarding support.

Supported applications and environment

• Core platforms include Schlumberger Petrel, Eclipse, Intersect, GeoX, Drillbench, Petromod, Blueback, and C-Core.
• Additional applications include Petroleum Experts (Petex), Amarile RE Studio, Peloton WellView and SiteView, Landmark Engineering Suite, RokDoc, Geolog, HampsonRussell Suite, Paleoscan, AspenTech, Blue Marble, P1 AGR, PPDM, and Zetaware.
• Environment includes HPC reservoir simulation environments.

Required qualifications and skills

• Requires 8+ years of enterprise application support experience and experience supporting upstream oil and gas petro-technical or subsurface applications.
• Requires knowledge of geoscience, reservoir engineering, drilling, or production workflows and experience supporting business users.
• Requires ability to translate business requirements into application solutions and support processes, plus troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Required technical areas include functional application support, Schlumberger application suite, user access and role management, incident and service request management, testing and validation, training, documentation, and knowledge management.

Compensation

• Pay range is $44.85 to $70.07 per hour.

Workplace and duration

• The role is on-site in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
• The description states a contract duration of 2 months and 6 days.
