Role summary

Functional application support

• Provide day-to-day functional support for petro-technical applications and business users.
• Diagnose, triage and resolve application incidents, service requests and user issues.
• Guide users on application functionality, workflows, best practices and data management processes.
• Support functional testing, validation and user acceptance for application upgrades and enhancements.
• Assist with application configuration changes and business process improvements.
• Manage user access, security roles and permissions.
• Partner with technical support teams and vendors to resolve complex application issues.
• Maintain functional documentation, user guides, support procedures and knowledge base articles.
• Conduct user training and knowledge transfer; support onboarding for new users and project teams.

Supported applications

• Core platforms include Schlumberger Petrel, Eclipse, Intersect, GeoX, Drillbench, Petromod, Blueback and C-Core.
• Additional applications include Petex, Amarile RE Studio, Peloton WellView and SiteView, Landmark Engineering Suite, RokDoc, Geolog, HampsonRussell Suite and Paleoscan.
• Other listed applications include AspenTech, Blue Marble, P1 AGR, PPDM and Zetaware.
• Environment includes HPC reservoir simulation environments.

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications.
• Experience supporting upstream Oil & Gas petro-technical or subsurface applications.
• Strong understanding of geoscience, reservoir engineering, drilling or production workflows.
• Experience working directly with business users in a functional support capacity.
• Ability to translate business requirements into application solutions and support processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required technical skills

• Schlumberger application suite: Petrel, Eclipse, Intersect, GeoX, Drillbench and Petromod.
• Functional application support; user access and role management; incident and service request management.
• Application testing and validation; user training and documentation; knowledge management.
• Oil & Gas subsurface workflows.

Pay and benefits

• Hourly pay range is $49.83 to $77.86.
• Benefits offered include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits.

Contract duration
