Role Overview
Manages and governs the end-to-end release lifecycle for DGE Common Digital Platform (CDP) applications.
Establishes standardized processes and coordinates releases across multiple projects while minimizing business disruption.
Assignment is full-time contract hire, scheduled November 2026 through January 2027; location is onsite in Abu Dhabi.
Arabic fluency is essential.

Release planning and execution
- Maintains release policy, master release plan, release gates, and a conflict-free master release calendar.
- Coordinates governance and readiness checks with Change Management before CAB approval.
- Drives CI/CD, DevOps adoption, automated deployment, containerized approaches, and release practice improvement.
- Coordinates execution across Development, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, and Change teams.
- Defines readiness criteria, checklists, rollback plans, and post-release validation; manages cross-application and platform dependencies using JIRA.
- Uses monitoring for deployment validation and early issue detection; establishes KPI dashboards and reports results to stakeholders.
Experience and capabilities
- Proven Release Lead or Release Manager experience in large-scale enterprise technology environments.
- Experience managing releases across multiple applications, environments, integrations, and technology teams.
- Strong understanding of application and SaaS development and release lifecycles, CI/CD, DevOps, deployments, containerization, and BDD.
- Experience with monitoring, deployment, and DevOps toolsets, JIRA, and release/change-management processes.
- Understanding of enterprise change governance, CAB processes, release controls, and production deployments.
- Strong stakeholder coordination, analytical problem-solving, and continuous-improvement capabilities.
Success measures
Predictable, conflict-free release planning and high adherence to release gates and governance.
Increased deployment automation, improved lead time and frequency, high release success, and fewer rollbacks and incidents.
Clear KPI reporting and visibility into performance, risks, dependencies, and business impact.
