Role overview

Procurement and contracts

• Develop procurement policies, strategies, goals, KPIs, and savings targets; ensure governance and regulatory compliance.
• Lead category management, sourcing, tendering, evaluation, and supplier selection.
• Manage contract preparation, negotiation, award, and administration, and review purchase orders and payment requests within authority limits.
• Build supplier relationships, review performance, conduct audits and qualification assessments, and drive improvement.

Logistics, stakeholders, and team

• Oversee logistics, customs clearance, expediting, inventory, and material control; maintain critical spare-parts availability.
• Coordinate material forecasts with internal stakeholders and work with Operations, Maintenance, Finance, and Engineering.
• Lead and develop procurement personnel, resolve escalations, and improve procurement processes and supply-chain efficiency.
• Support digitalization, perform buyer duties when needed, and undertake other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, or a related discipline; an accredited Engineering Diploma may be considered with significant relevant experience.
• Minimum 7–10 years in procurement, contracts, logistics, and supply chain management.
• Proven strategic sourcing, commercial negotiation, supplier relationship, contract administration, and procurement governance experience.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, or equivalent procurement platforms; customs clearance and logistics management experience.
• Strong knowledge of procurement practices, commercial terms, contract law, supply markets, budget management, and reporting.
• Excellent English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
• Experience in power generation, utilities, energy, oil and gas, or industrial sectors is highly preferred; CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent certification is preferred.
