Airswift is seeking a Construction Superintendent (Offshore HUC JUB2) to work in Qatar with a major oil and gas company.
The role is the company site representative and lead for offshore brownfield, shutdown, and hook-up activities.
Role purpose and responsibilities
- Represent the company and lead offshore brownfield, shutdown, and hook-up activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, integrity, and project objectives.
- Coordinate with OESS, Operations, and contractors to drive brownfield and hook-up execution and commissioning.
- Lead the offshore execution phase and oversee service and vendor personnel.
Qualifications and experience
- Higher National Diploma in mechanical or instrumentation.
- At least 8 years of experience with large projects across construction-related disciplines, including construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, brownfield, or shutdown activities.
- Oil and gas industry experience and at least 1 year in a Company Site Representative Offshore Lead role, including acting roles.
- Experience overseeing service or vendor personnel.
- Experience with oil and gas companies, contractors, service companies, and heavy offshore execution construction companies.
Technical and business knowledge
- Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria for fabrication, transportation, installation, brownfield execution and commissioning, and hook-up activities.
- Knowledge of offshore facilities, structures, and operations applicable to the project scope.
- Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.
- Experience working in large-scale operating organizations across operations, projects, subsurface, or related functions.
