Project Assessment Lead

Role purpose

Key accountabilities

• Steward the annual Internal Audit plan for Major Projects and NFPS Group to ensure project teams are audit-ready.
• Ensure audits follow established frameworks, with timely information and clarifications and fieldwork completed to auditor and auditee expectations.
• Oversee scheduling of Major Project Reviews in accordance with the Project Management System, procedures, and management expectations.
• Prepare periodic reports on key audit and review activities for group management.
• Align stakeholders on plans to resolve and close review and audit actions.
• Follow up on audit actions assigned to project teams or departments.
• Support audit planning by providing project information on time.
• Share key audit and review learnings across the group and with relevant project teams.
• Coordinate reviews according to approved charters and company processes and act as a point of contact for review and audit teams.

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Engineering, or Project Management.
• Eight years of oil and gas experience across multiple project functions, such as project management, engineering, construction, or procurement.
• At least one year in a supervisory or acting role, or overseeing contractor, subcontractor, service, or vendor personnel.

Knowledge and skills

• Broad experience in large-scale operating organizations, including Operations, Projects, or Subsurface.
• Extensive experience in internal auditing services; knowledge of internal auditing standards and basic enterprise risk management concepts.
• Knowledge of project gating, execution planning, risk and change management, commissioning, and handover processes or procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to manage stakeholder expectations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Location and schedule

• Long-term contract based in Doha, Qatar, at the head office or a site office in Ras Laffan Industrial City.
• Residential basis, six days per week, 10 hours per day.
• Contract duration is 36 months, with potential for extension; start date is negotiable.
