Airswift is seeking an Engineering Lead (Piping) to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas company.
The role leads contractor work on compression offshore facilities layout and piping design to support safe, efficient, and reliable operation of onshore assets.

Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least eight years of overall experience in an industry/discipline offshore, with mandatory knowledge of layout.
- Five years of experience in piping layout and design.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safety and compliance with industry standards when designing piping systems for offshore environments.
- Communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align on project goals and outcomes.
- Apply Greenfield and Brownfield layout requirements while considering operational fundamentals.
- Use 3D modelling to visualize piping systems and achieve efficient, clash-free, practical layouts that address construction needs.
- Address corrosion and material degradation through material selection and protective coatings.
- Select materials for corrosive environments, considering chemicals, environmental conditions, cost, performance, longevity, fabrication, and maintenance.
- Consider thermal expansion, dynamic loading, pressure, and temperature in piping stress analysis.
- Use stress analysis software to evaluate system behavior under loads, identify weak points, and optimize design.
