The HVAC Technician - Industrial Refrigeration installs, operates, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs HVAC systems to support reliable operation and customer satisfaction.
Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the role performs service activities independently on-site and coordinates with supervisors and service teams to meet service levels and operational targets.
Service delivery and system performance
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair air-cooled and centrifugal chillers, VRV and DX systems, ammonia industrial refrigeration plants, and commercial refrigeration systems.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control faults and carry out corrective actions.
- Support commissioning, operation, and maintenance to ensure systems operate to OEM standards.
- Identify root causes, minimize repeat breakdowns, optimize system performance through servicing and parameter checks, and escalate complex issues when needed.
Customer service and coordination
- Represent the service team on-site, communicate service activities, findings, and recommendations, and support customer satisfaction.
- Complete service reports, checklists, and job documentation accurately and on time; record system data, faults, and actions taken.
- Coordinate with supervisors, planners, and spare-parts teams.
Safety and development
- Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and permit systems; handle tools, equipment, and refrigerants safely.
- Stay current with products, service practices, and HVAC technologies; attend training and apply learning in field activities.
What you need to succeed
- Technical diploma, such as ITI or a diploma in Mechanical, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of hands-on HVAC service experience, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, specifically in industrial refrigeration.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and refrigeration systems; basic HVAC controls knowledge and ability to read schematics.
- Ability to work independently at customer sites, with good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Familiarity with manual or digital service reporting tools.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
