Role Overview
The site quality role supports quality checks, documentation, and inspection-related tasks for MEP systems and structural steel works.
The position assists engineers in verifying conformance to drawings, specifications, codes, and client requirements.
Work Setting
- The role is site-based and involves inspections of physical MEP installations, structural steel works, and incoming materials.
MEP Inspections
- Assist QA/QC engineers with electrical conduit and cable tray inspections.
- Inspect plumbing and piping layouts, HVAC ductwork, and fire-fighting installations.
- Check installations against approved shop drawings and quality standards.
Structural Steel Quality
- Support checks of welding quality, bolt tightening, and structural steel erection.
- Verify alignment, orientation, painting, and galvanizing compliance against drawings and codes.
Materials and Testing
- Inspect incoming pipes, cables, motors, panels, valves, steel sections, and fasteners.
- Verify proper storage, tagging, and certification of incoming MEP and steel materials.
- Coordinate NDT, pressure tests, megger tests, and functional performance checks with laboratories and third parties.
Requirements
- Quality work covering MEP systems and structural steel works.
- Ability to support inspections against approved shop drawings, specifications, codes, and client requirements.
- Ability to coordinate technical testing with laboratories and third-party agencies.
