Weldco-Beales Manufacturing is recruiting a Quality Control Coordinator for its Barrie manufacturing team.
The role reports to the Operations Manager and supports manufacturing quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the company quality control program and develop its objectives.
- Support Lean initiatives, train others on quality procedures, and monitor inspection protocols.
- Develop inspection procedures, maintain non-conformance reports, and lead internal quality audits, including annual ISO 5S initiatives.
- Conduct walkthrough inspections with customers and departments; prepare reports and maintain project documentation.
- Analyze quality data, investigate complaints, improve products, and help departments reduce rework and improve productivity.
- Respond to quality-related requests from customers, employees, quality technicians, and management.
Qualifications
- At least five years of related experience.
- Knowledge of industry products, quality management, continuous improvement, 5S, and Lean.
- In-depth knowledge of tools and equipment used in steel fabrication and welding operations, and of safety practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to read blueprints and understand work orders.
- Advanced computer skills and ability to use various software applications; ability to adapt and manage time effectively.
- Six Sigma certification and Level 2 Welding Inspector certification are assets.
Schedule
- 5x8 schedule, Monday to Friday.
