Operate oxyfuel and/or plasma cutting tables in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner in a metal fabrication environment.

Burn Table Operations
- Align steel plate on the cutting table and select appropriate programs.
- Adjust kerf, speed, stand-off, and other settings to meet project requirements.
- Monitor burn quality, make adjustments, inspect finished parts, and re-burn defective pieces.
- Produce correct quantities according to burn sheet specifications.
- Change torch tips, electrodes, and nozzles as required.
Record Keeping and Reporting
- Sign off burn sheets and maintain organized documentation.
- Record cutting table malfunctions in the logbook immediately.
- Maintain accurate consumable usage records.
- Report equipment malfunctions to the Foreman without delay.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience operating oxyfuel and/or plasma burn tables.
- At least 3 years of overhead crane experience.
- Experience working in a metal fabrication shop.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and burn sheets.
- Advanced knowledge of general safety practices and a proven excellent safety record.
- In-depth understanding of tools, equipment, and their proper care.
- Strong interpersonal, time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Successful completion of the required pre-employment medical evaluation and Level 1 fitness test.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift experience is considered an asset.
