Responsibilities
- Operate manual and CNC lathes, mills, boring mills, drills, saws, and machining centers.
- Read blueprints, drawings, and work orders to machine parts to exact specifications.
- Program machines, suggest machining procedures, and perform quality checks.
- Produce machined parts for heavy equipment attachments.
- Maintain tools and equipment and perform minor repairs as required.
- Respond to internal machining needs and collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
- Follow company and occupational health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- At least three years of related experience is required.
- Experience machining steel and programming at the machine is required.
- Knowledge of Fanuc controllers and machine shop tools is required.
- CAD/CAM experience, specifically Mastercam, is an asset.
- Strong safety, organizational, time management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are required.
- A pre-employment medical evaluation and Level 1 fitness test are required because of the physical and safety demands of the role.
