Quality Assurance Test Lead

Role overview

QA leadership and test management

• Lead QA across applications, releases, and test environments; develop strategies, plans, schedules, and estimates.
• Coordinate manual and automated testing against project requirements and timelines.
• Coach QA team members and review test cases, automation scripts, and execution results.
• Monitor progress and risks, report status, facilitate defect triage, and maintain QA standards and improvement initiatives.

Technical testing

• Build and maintain automated frameworks and functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests using Selenium WebDriver, Java, or equivalent technologies.
• Run automated tests, investigate failures, review logs, and troubleshoot automation issues.
• Support CI/CD test integration using Jenkins, Git, or equivalent; perform API testing with Postman, Swagger, Karate, or similar tools.
• Conduct SQL-based database validation, manual and other software testing, and support security, accessibility, failover, and operational testing.

Client and stakeholder collaboration

• Clarify business requirements, testing objectives, and acceptance criteria with clients and project stakeholders.
• Communicate testing progress, quality concerns, defects, risks, and recommendations.
• Coordinate UAT and collaborate with business users, developers, analysts, project managers, and technical teams.
• Support release planning with test coverage, results, open defects, and readiness information.

Defects and quality improvement

• Track, document, prioritize, and manage defects; perform root-cause analysis with development teams.
• Monitor quality metrics and defect trends, and prepare test summaries, closure documents, and status updates.
• Improve testing processes and automation coverage; share knowledge and document reusable test assets, test-data approaches, and lessons learned.

Required experience and skills

• Strong hands-on experience in test automation, manual testing, API testing, and end-to-end software testing.
• Proven QA leadership and client-facing experience.
• Experience testing complex enterprise applications, cloud services, middleware, legacy integrations, and data migration.
• Technical testing experience with automation frameworks, API tools, and SQL-based backend validation.
