Role Summary
The QS Engineer manages quantity surveying, cost control, measurements, valuations, and commercial activities for construction projects at site.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and verify bills of quantities, quantity take-offs, and measurements.
- Monitor project quantities, costs, variations, and subcontractor payments.
- Prepare interim payment applications and supporting documents.
- Review drawings, specifications, and site works for accurate measurements.
- Prepare and evaluate variation orders and claims.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Maintain records of quantities, costs, and project documentation.
- Assist with cost forecasting and budget monitoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of UAE construction experience; building-project experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of BOQs, quantity take-offs, valuations, variations, and cost control.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- A UAE driving licence is an advantage.
Pay
- Pay starts at AED 4,000 per month.
