Quality assurance and inspections
- Implement and maintain project QA/QC procedures and review specifications, approved drawings, method statements, ITPs, and technical documents.
- Inspect civil and building works against approved drawings and specifications; coordinate quality matters with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Prepare WIR/IR requests, coordinate consultant inspections, and review MIRs for material compliance.
- Monitor concrete, reinforcement, formwork, blockwork, waterproofing, plastering, tiling, flooring, painting, and other civil and architectural work.
Testing, non-conformities, and records
- Identify defects, quality issues, and non-conformities; prepare and follow up NCRs and corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate third-party laboratory testing and maintain test reports; monitor sampling, cube and slump testing, concrete pours, and required inspection stages.
- Maintain QA/QC records, inspection reports, test reports, material approvals, and NCR documentation; ensure corrective actions are closed.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and prepare observation reports; participate in client and consultant inspections and resolve quality comments.
Handover and compliance
- Review as-built drawings and quality documentation before handover and assist with QA/QC dossiers and handover records.
- Ensure compliance with UAE construction standards, project specifications, authority requirements, and company procedures.
- Promote a quality culture among site teams, subcontractors, and workers; report major quality risks to the Project Manager or QA/QC Manager.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of QA/QC experience in UAE construction projects.
- Building construction experience is preferred; residential, commercial, villa, school, hotel, or high-rise experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction, quality procedures, ITPs, MIRs, WIRs/IRs, NCRs, method statements, checklists, test reports, and civil works.
- Familiarity with UAE construction standards and project specifications; good knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, with strong communication and coordination skills.
Pay
- Pay starts at AED 10,000 per month.
