Airswift seeks a QAQC Engineer (Piping) to work in Qatar with a major oil and gas company.
Mandatory qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; IRCA Certified QMS Lead Auditor.
- Senior Welding Inspector certification: CSWIP 3.2 or AWS-SCWI; Painting Inspector certification: BGAS Grade 2 or NACE Level 2.
- NDT Level 2 certification in RT, MT, UT, and PT from ASNT/ACCP or equivalent international certifications.
Preferred qualifications
- IIW Welding Engineer certification and NDT Level 3 certification are preferred.
- Advanced NDT certifications in PAUT, TOFD, and AutoUT are advantageous.
- Professional memberships such as ASNT, AWS, TWI, NACE, ASQ-CMQ/OE, and MCQI-CQP are advantageous.
Experience and technical expertise
- At least 15 years of QA/QC experience in oil and gas construction projects, including refineries, LNG/NGL plants, petrochemical complexes, and greenfield and brownfield projects.
- Previous experience with major EPIC contractors or end users.
- Strong background in process piping, construction and commissioning quality management, inspection and testing, quality surveillance, and CMS, TIV, FPD, and PQHC implementation.
- Strong knowledge of ASME, API, AWS, ASTM, ISO, BS EN, SSPC, NACE, IOGP, Shell DEP, and MESC specifications.
- Hands-on experience with ITPs, QCPs, WPS/PQR, MARs, NCR management, root cause analysis, quality audits, material traceability, preservation systems, and commissioning and pre-commissioning.
Leadership and management
- Manage QA/QC inspectors and engineers and establish and monitor KPIs.
- Conduct supplier and subcontractor audits and resolve complex technical disputes and quality issues.
- Work effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments.
- Lead inspection teams and ensure compliance with international standards and company quality requirements.
