QA/QC Engineer

Role purpose

Quality delivery

• Implement project QA/QC plans, ITPs, method statements, and procedures; inspect road construction activities and verify compliance.
• Coordinate material approvals, inspections, field and laboratory tests, and review quality records.
• Raise and close NCRs and observations, ensure corrective/preventive actions, and prepare inspection requests, checklists, and reports.
• Maintain project quality records, support audits, and monitor calibration and validity of testing and measuring equipment.
• Identify potential quality issues, contribute to improvement initiatives, and prepare quality dossiers and final handover documentation.

Qualifications and experience

• BTech is the stated minimum qualification.
• Required experience is 8–15 years.
• Relevant QA/QC experience in EPC, road, highway, or infrastructure projects is specified.
• Road construction quality control, material testing, inspection, and documentation experience is preferred.
• EPC road/highway project and client/consultant coordination experience is preferred.

Technical skills and standards

• Road/highway QA/QC, ITPs, method statements, checklists, and quality documentation.
• Earthwork, subgrade, GSB, WMM, bituminous/asphalt works, concrete, and drainage.
• Material testing, laboratory coordination, NCRs, corrective/preventive actions, audits, and drawing/specification interpretation.
• Applicable standards include IRC, MORTH, IS, ASTM, and AASHTO.

Competencies

• Strong understanding of road construction processes, quality requirements, drawings, specifications, and contractual quality requirements.
• Analytical and problem-solving ability, documentation and reporting skills, and effective stakeholder coordination.
• Ability to work at project/site locations under tight project timelines.
