The lead geologist manages subsurface investigation activities across projects and integrates geospatial technologies for ground assessment and construction planning.
Investigation and analysis
- Plan and execute geotechnical investigations and interpret soil and rock data for foundation design and risk assessment.
- Manage, operate, calibrate, and maintain investigation equipment, including GPR, resistivity, and seismic tools.
- Work with GIS and BIM teams on DTM, volumetrics, and digital models.
- Prepare technical reports, dashboards, and insights for project teams.
Coordination and compliance
- Ensure compliance with IS codes and safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications and experience
- B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech in Civil, Geotechnical, Geology, or Geophysics.
- The description specifies 5–10 years of experience in subsurface investigation for infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of soil mechanics and foundation engineering, with hands-on geophysical equipment experience.
- Exposure to drone surveys and LiDAR data processing is sought; familiarity with GIS, BIM, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D is listed.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities are sought.
