Role overview

Responsibilities

• Own test scripts and define test scenarios and cases from business and functional requirements.
• Execute functional, system, integration and accessibility testing; prepare SIT, UAT, regression and release documentation.
• Coordinate testing cycles, testers, issue management and reporting; escalate testing risks and monitor coverage.
• Define test data and environment needs; manage defects to resolution using Azure DevOps, Jira or similar.
• Collaborate with delivery teams and suppliers, report metrics and recommendations, and support post-release validation.

Qualifications and experience

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.
• Proven QA, Test Analyst or Software Tester experience in digital delivery; strong functional, integration and regression testing experience.
• Experience testing public-facing websites and digital journeys, CMS-driven sites, SIT, UAT, regression and post-release activities.
• Experience with defect-management tools and working alongside project teams and third-party suppliers.
• Kentico or Xperience by Kentico experience is especially attractive; relevant alternatives include Sitecore, Umbraco, Optimizely, AEM, Drupal and WordPress Enterprise.

Skills and additional experience

• Create detailed test scenarios and scripts from business requirements; knowledge of web technologies and cross-browser/device testing.
• Accessibility testing and WCAG 2.2, including Axe, WAVE or Lighthouse, are relevant experience.
• Website migrations, redesigns or upgrades, regulated environments, SEO, analytics validation and API testing are also relevant.
• ISTQB Foundation certification is desirable; additional software testing or accessibility certifications are advantageous.

Work arrangement

• Hybrid working model: three days onsite in Belfast and two days remote.

Work eligibility

• The role requires legal authorization to work in the UK and eligibility for SC-level clearance.
