Responsible for purchasing procedures covering ordering, receiving, storage, distribution, and payment.
Maintains an approved vendor list and supports purchasing across hotel operations.
Education and experience
- A 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or a related major, or a minimum of 2 years of experience in Purchasing or a related field.

Purchasing and inventory
- Purchases food, beverages, and controllable items based on business needs and supports quality, profitability, and cost goals.
- Coordinates delivery timing with vendors, kitchen staff, restaurant management, and the Executive Chef.
- Inspects deliveries and checks invoices against shipments for quantity, quality, weights, and specifications.
- Maintains inventory levels, dating, rotation, requisitions, first-in/first-out practices, and storeroom security.
Accounting and cost control
- Uses computer programs to track food and beverage costs, post invoices, update items and costs, and complete period-end inventory.
- Administers invoices and bookkeeping and supports menu costing, budgets, expense control, and timely reporting.
- Reviews financial statements and performance data and identifies opportunities for cost reduction or improvement.
Compliance and team support
- Maintains sanitation, safety, purchasing, accounting, and applicable legal standards and procedures.
- Supports purchasing operations, supervises employees, and addresses performance and disciplinary matters.
- Coordinates accounting projects and audits and works with property teams on operational strategy and improvements.
- Supports property emergency, accident prevention, and workplace safety procedures.
