Project Manager – Digital Banking

Position summary

Project planning and delivery

• Manage end-to-end project planning, execution, timelines, budgets, resources, and delivery using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
• Track progress, manage risks and issues, and report project status to senior management.

Stakeholders and vendors

• Coordinate business, IT, product, security, risk, compliance, vendors, and FinTech partners.
• Manage vendor deliverables, SLAs, scope changes, and steering committee reporting.

Risk, governance, and compliance

• Maintain RAID logs and ensure compliance with QCB/GCC regulations, cybersecurity, data residency, AML/KYC, and consumer protection requirements.
• Coordinate SIT, UAT, penetration testing, audits, go-live readiness, and project documentation.

Budget and resources

• Monitor budgets, forecasts, expenditure, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.

Experience and qualifications

• At least 5 years of project management experience, including at least 3 years in digital banking, FinTech, or financial services technology.
• Experience with at least one mobile or internet banking launch or major release.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, finance, or a related field.
• PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, or CSM certification is preferred.

Technical and regulatory knowledge

• Working knowledge of core banking systems, APIs, digital onboarding (eKYC), and payment systems.
• Familiarity with SDLC, Agile tooling such as Jira, Confluence, or MS Project, and SIT/UAT testing cycles.
• Knowledge of QCB/GCC regulations and banking compliance requirements.

Language and interpersonal skills

• Arabic fluency is mandatory; strong English communication skills are preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management, vendor coordination, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
