Role overview

Construction and installation

• Supervise day-to-day electrical construction against approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.
• Oversee installation of power transformers, GIS/AIS equipment, circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, CTs, VTs/CVTs, surge arresters, control and protection panels, and applicable STATCOM systems.
• Monitor equipment erection and alignment, cable laying and termination, gland installation, grounding systems, and lightning protection works.

Inspection and commissioning

• Conduct inspections against approved Method Statements and Inspection & Test Plans; coordinate QA/QC and client inspections and close punch points.
• Maintain quality records and installation checklists.
• Support testing and commissioning of transformers, GIS/AIS equipment, protection relays, control systems, SCADA, and auxiliary systems; ensure prerequisites are complete before energization.

Safety, materials, and coordination

• Enforce HSE requirements, conduct toolbox talks, monitor Permit-to-Work compliance, and ensure safe high-voltage work.
• Verify site materials, monitor utilization, report shortages or damage, and coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams.
• Coordinate with construction, planning, QA/QC, commissioning, civil and mechanical teams, clients, consultants, and vendors to resolve site issues and interface conflicts.

Project controls and records

• Maintain daily progress reports, installation records, punch lists, NCR logs, and as-built documentation.
• Monitor progress against approved schedules, identify potential delays, and support recovery plans.
• Attend client and consultant meetings and coordinate vendor supervision during installation and testing.

Qualifications and experience

• Required experience: 16–24 years.
• Minimum qualification: Bachelor of Technology (BTech).
