Project Logistics Manager

Role overview

Offshore and marine transport

• Manage dispatch, schedules, and chartering for supply vessels, barges, tugs, crew boats, and accommodation barges.
• Oversee quay-side and jetty operations at Abu Dhabi ports and project fabrication yards.
• Coordinate marine load-outs, lashing and sea-fastening inspections, heavy lifts, and offshore offloading under marine engineering and class rules.
• Monitor weather, tides, and offshore access restrictions; adjust vessel rotations to minimize field downtime.
• Plan crew movements, helicopter transfers, offshore personnel transport, and accommodation allocation.

Supply chain and clearances

• Develop and execute the project logistics management plan to meet ADNOC Offshore requirements.
• Obtain CICPA passes, ADNOC field-access permits, and port gate passes for personnel, vehicles, and equipment.
• Manage import/export documents, customs clearance, dangerous goods certifications, duty exemptions, and temporary import bonds with UAE Customs.
• Oversee warehousing, open-yard storage, material preservation, inventory control, and SAP/Oracle ERP tracking.

Stakeholders, HSE, and reporting

• Coordinate with ADNOC Offshore, PMC, contractors, subcontractors, port authorities, and marine subcontractors; evaluate logistics and transport providers.
• Participate in project schedule updates, constructability reviews, and marine installation strategy meetings.
• Ensure zero-harm operations across marine chartering, port handling, and road transport under ADNOC HSE requirements.
• Review logistics risk assessments, JSAs, method statements, and heavy-lift plans; enforce SOLAS, MARPOL, IMDG, and UAE maritime compliance.
• Control logistics budgets, charter rates, fuel, and freight; review invoices, variations, and claims.
• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports on vessel use, cargo turnaround, and delivery milestones.

Experience and education

• Requires 15+ years in logistics and supply chain for major oil and gas, offshore EPC, or marine construction work.
• Requires at least 8 years in a managerial role.
• Direct ADNOC Offshore project, standards, and clearance-system experience is described as strongly required and preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, mechanical, civil, or industrial engineering, or a related field.

Skills and certifications

• Marine logistics, vessel spreads, barges, and chartering; CICPA clearances; UAE customs laws; heavy-lift engineering; and supply-base operations.
• Proficiency in SAP or Oracle ERP, Primavera or MS Project alignment, and marine tracking tools.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• APICS/CIPS is preferred; IMDG or dangerous goods handling certification is a plus.
