Project Engineer - Infra

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise infrastructure work to approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.
• Ensure safe and efficient execution and compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
• Review and coordinate construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements, material submittals and technical documentation.
• Supervise roads, pavements, drainage, utility networks, earthworks and other infrastructure work.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors, subcontractors and project teams to support smooth execution and timely completion.
• Monitor schedules, identify delays and constraints, and address construction issues.
• Ensure compliance with UAE standards, authority requirements and project specifications; coordinate authority and utility-provider inspections, approvals, testing and connections.
• Inspect works and coordinate inspections, testing, approvals and documentation; ensure approved materials are used.
• Maintain site, progress, inspection, material-approval and project records; participate in meetings, progress reviews and handover.
• Coordinate with planning, QA/QC, HSE, design, procurement and commercial teams; provide technical guidance to site teams and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 7 years of infrastructure construction experience.
• At least 5 years of UAE infrastructure construction experience is preferred.
• Proven experience with roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, pavements and associated infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction standards, specifications, authority requirements and infrastructure practices.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and relevant UAE authorities.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, method statements and project documentation.
• Strong understanding of construction planning, site supervision, quality and project execution.
• Good knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality requirements for infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving and site management skills.
• Major infrastructure or large-scale UAE development experience is preferred.
