The Program Manager ensures complex projects are delivered on time and according to the negotiated Scope of Work.
The role manages a virtual team of customer contacts, Fortinet Sales, Professional Services Engineers, and Technical Support.
The position coordinates technically sound, financially profitable, and supportable implementations of IT security solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer and stakeholder relationships; identify resources and work with resource managers to build delivery teams.
- Coordinate customer-facing Fortinet functions, Professional Services resources, and third-party vendors for project execution.
- Deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget; manage changes to scope, schedule, and costs and measure project performance.
- Report and escalate as needed, resolve challenges, maintain project documentation, and apply Fortinet methodology and standards.
- Manage project risks; oversee revenue recognition, invoicing, receivables, revenue forecasts, and profitability.
- Ensure project legal documents are signed at project start; facilitate team and client meetings and communicate sensitive information tactfully.
Job requirements
- Around five years in a similar position.
- Technical understanding of security, cloud, and networking projects.
- Experience with global enterprise, MSSP, carrier, and governmental customers.
- Strong organizational, negotiation, communication, presentation, conflict-resolution, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively, adapt to shifting priorities and timelines, and elicit cooperation across stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or management discipline, or equivalent extensive work-related experience.
- PMP and/or PRINCE II certification.
