Job purpose

Production planning and supervision

• Plan daily and weekly schedules across CNC, cutting, machining, assembly, finishing, upholstery, and installation.
• Track progress against the master schedule and escalate delays or resource constraints.
• Allocate manpower, machinery, and materials to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
• Supervise line supervisors and carpenters to ensure work follows approved drawings, cutting lists, and specifications.

Quality, materials, and workshop operations

• Coordinate in-process and final inspections with QC and ensure nonconformances are corrected before dispatch.
• Coordinate timely availability of raw materials, hardware, and consumables with stores and procurement.
• Enforce health, safety, and housekeeping standards, including 5S.
• Monitor equipment condition and coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.

Reporting and improvement

• Track attendance, productivity, and wastage; prepare production and performance reports.
• Support SOPs, work instructions, and the workforce warning, penalty, and reward system; refer disciplinary matters to management as needed.
• Identify workforce skill gaps and coordinate on-the-job training or upskilling with HR and Training.
• Maintain production data, job cards, and daily progress reports.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce cycle time, material wastage, rework, and production bottlenecks.

Qualifications and experience

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Wood Technology, Interior Fit-Out, or a related technical field.
• At least 15 years of joinery, furniture, or interior fit-out production experience, including 5–8 years in a supervisory or in-charge role.
• Relevant joinery or carpentry trade certifications are an advantage.
• UAE manufacturing or fit-out experience is preferred.

Technical skills and competencies

• Sound knowledge of joinery manufacturing processes, materials, and machinery such as CNC, edge banding, and panel saws.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking, CNC operations, carpentry, finishing, and assembly workflows.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, cutting lists, and BOQs.
• Working knowledge of MS Office or ERP systems for production reporting.
• Strong leadership, planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities; attention to quality, safety, and deadlines.
