The Logistics Officer plans, coordinates, and controls movement, storage, and delivery of materials, finished goods, and equipment for the Joinery Division and project sites.
The role supports timely dispatch and receipt, accurate documentation, and cost-efficient transport in line with production schedules, project deadlines, and company policy.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of materials and joinery goods between the factory, warehouses, and project sites.
- Schedule and monitor fleet and third-party transport for on-time delivery and efficient vehicle and route utilization.
- Select suitable vehicles and oversee protection and safe loading to prevent scratches, breakage, moisture damage, or deformation.
- Record transfers between locations and obtain signed and stamped proof of delivery.
- Plan and supervise packaging to prevent damage and meet client and project specifications.
- Generate, apply, and verify barcodes and labels; maintain accurate barcode-based inventory records in the ERP or inventory system.
- Coordinate with Production and QA/QC to confirm goods are complete, inspected, labelled, packed, and approved before dispatch.
- Align delivery schedules with project timelines and production plans.
- Ensure vehicles, drivers, and logistics operations comply with company HSE policies and UAE traffic and transport regulations.
- Maintain packaging materials and ensure their use follows standard operating procedures.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, or supply chain.
- Experience in manufacturing, joinery, fit-out, or contracting in the UAE is preferred.
- A valid UAE driving license is preferred.
