Product Owner

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate product vision, objectives, priorities, and desired business outcomes.
• Own and continuously prioritize the product backlog based on value, customer needs, urgency, dependencies, and technical feasibility.
• Translate business and user needs into requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and product specifications.
• Lead Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, product demonstrations, and related activities.
• Maintain product roadmaps, release plans, delivery timelines, and current product documentation.
• Review completed features and validate that delivered solutions meet agreed requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing and coordinate defect and issue resolution with technical teams.
• Use customer insights, market research, analytics, feedback, adoption, quality, and business metrics to guide decisions.
• Coordinate releases, enhancements, migrations, integrations, launches, onboarding, training, and post-launch reviews.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, risks, dependencies, assumptions, constraints, trade-offs, and scope changes.
• Continuously improve product development processes, Agile practices, backlog quality, and delivery effectiveness.

Requirements

• Relevant experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or in a related product-development role.
• Typically 3–5 or more years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, product management, or technology delivery.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, software development lifecycles, product development, and delivery methodologies.
• Experience managing backlogs, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, roadmaps, UAT, testing, defect management, and releases.
• Strong stakeholder-management, communication, facilitation, negotiation, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Trello, Miro, or similar tools.
• Understanding of software development, APIs, databases, integrations, system architecture, and technology solutions is advantageous.
• Experience in digital products, SaaS, fintech, banking, e-commerce, enterprise systems, or technology platforms is advantageous.
• PSPO, CSPO, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, or equivalent certification is advantageous.
• A relevant bachelor's degree is preferred, including Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or Product Management.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
