Role overview

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies; update compliance policies and procedures as regulations change.
• Conduct compliance assessments, internal reviews, and risk evaluations; monitor operational processes and help maintain the compliance management framework.
• Identify and report risks, irregularities, and violations; support KYC, customer due diligence, and AML procedures where applicable.
• Maintain compliance records, reports, documentation, and audit trails; recommend improvements to controls and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate resolution of compliance concerns and assist with audits, regulatory inspections, and investigations.
• Monitor regulatory changes, provide employee training and guidance, and investigate breaches with corrective and preventive recommendations.
• Handle sensitive business and customer information confidentially.

Requirements

• Proven experience in compliance, risk management, audit, or a regulatory role.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, corporate governance, and compliance requirements.
• AML, KYC, and customer due diligence knowledge is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, investigative, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills; ability to interpret regulations and develop practical policies.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to prepare reports, maintain documentation, handle confidential information, and work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong ethics, integrity, organization, and time management.
• A relevant bachelor's degree is preferred; compliance qualifications and regulated-industry experience are advantageous.
