Role overview

UX Designer role reporting to the Principal Design Operations Manager.

The role calls for a hybrid designer with strengths in UX, UI, interaction design, prototyping, and visual craft.

The position is based in Bangalore and is hybrid; employment is full-time.

Responsibilities

  • Own UX across complex, multi-step workflows, from research understanding and flows through wireframes, UI, and prototypes.
  • Convert ambiguous requirements into structured, intuitive solutions and design responsive web and mobile experiences.
  • Deliver polished visual interfaces and craft micro-interactions and micro-animations.
  • Maintain design-system consistency while advancing visual quality.
  • Ensure designs align with WCAG standards, including contrast, touch targets, semantic structure, keyboard navigation, and clear affordances.
  • Advocate for inclusive design during reviews and discussions.
  • Build high-fidelity prototypes and run quick validation cycles.
  • Balance business goals, user needs, and engineering constraints; communicate concepts to product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Identify UX and UI issues, propose improvements, mentor junior designers, and raise design quality.

Required qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in design, HCI, Human Factors Engineering, Product Design, Communication Design, Behavioral Science, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of UX/UI or Product Design experience with a strong hybrid portfolio.
  • Strong expertise in UX flows, information architecture, visual design, and interaction logic; experience designing for web and mobile.
  • Deep understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design best practices.
  • Strong skills in spacing, grids, typography, layout systems, and pixel-level detailing.
  • Strong Figma expertise and experience with modern design systems.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or another visual design and wireframing tool; excellent high-fidelity interactive prototyping skills.
  • Ability to grasp complexity quickly, take ownership, communicate clearly, and tell design stories.

Preferred distinctions

  • Fintech, payments, or data-heavy interface experience is preferred.
  • Comfort with micro-interactions, motion, easing, and interaction feedback is preferred.
  • Knowledge of motion tools such as Rive, ProtoPie, After Effects, or Principle is preferred.
  • Expertise with AI tools, design-system contributions, workshop facilitation, and basic research or usability-testing exposure are preferred.

What the role offers

  • Ownership of high-impact, high-visibility product areas.
  • Opportunity to shape visual and interaction standards across platforms.
  • A design-forward environment valuing speed, clarity, and craft.
