Procurement Engineer role focused on engineering procurement within EPC, infrastructure, utilities, and related projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage procurement from material requisitions through supplier selection, purchase order placement, and delivery.
- Review BOQs, drawings, specifications, and material requirements; prepare and issue RFQs.
- Evaluate quotations and prepare technical and commercial comparisons or bid analyses.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions.
- Develop qualified vendors and maintain supplier records.
- Prepare purchase orders and LOIs and check compliance with approved requirements.
- Coordinate procurement and technical submittals with project teams and suppliers.
- Monitor schedules, follow up on deliveries, track costs, and identify savings.
- Maintain procurement documentation and help resolve supplier and subcontractor issues.
Candidate requirements
- 8–12 years of overall experience, with strong hands-on engineering procurement experience in the UAE/GCC.
- Experience in EPC, infrastructure, utilities, substations, pumping stations, water/wastewater, or similar engineering projects.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and material requirements.
- Experience in RFQs, bid analysis, vendor selection, negotiation, purchase orders, and material approvals.
- Knowledge of the UAE supplier/vendor market for engineering and construction materials.
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred; Mechanical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline may be considered depending on experience.
- A UAE driving licence is an advantage.
Pay
- Pay is AED 13,000–15,000 per month.
