Role Description
The Procurement Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Abu Dhabi.
This role involves managing end-to-end procurement activities, including identifying suppliers, preparing and evaluating requests for quotation (RFQs), and negotiating terms to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of materials and services.
The Procurement Engineer will coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand technical and project requirements, prepare and issue purchase orders, and track order status to support project timelines.
Daily tasks include evaluating supplier performance, analyzing procurement data, resolving supply-related issues, and maintaining accurate documentation and records in line with company policies.
The role also requires continuous collaboration and communication with engineering, finance, and operations teams to optimize procurement processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Supplier Evaluation and managing Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes to ensure quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Candidates should possess skills in preparing and processing Purchase Orders, including documentation accuracy and adherence to internal approval workflows.
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to assess quotations, compare supplier offers, and support data-driven procurement decisions.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, negotiating with suppliers, and preparing clear procurement reports.
- Relevant experience in procurement or supply chain within engineering, construction, or industrial sectors is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of procurement software or ERP systems and familiarity with local and international sourcing practices are advantageous.
- Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
