Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Abu Dhabi.

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), assisting with cost planning during pre-contract stages, and supporting tender preparation and evaluation.

Daily tasks include monitoring project costs, updating cost reports, verifying contractor claims, and ensuring that expenditures remain within approved budgets.

The role also involves coordinating with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to provide accurate cost data, identify potential savings, and support contract administration and variations.

The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining financial control, supporting decision-making, and ensuring compliance with company and project standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong cost management capabilities, including Cost Control and Cost Management skills to monitor budgets and project expenditures effectively.
  • Experience in BOQ preparation and review, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and scope of work accurately.
  • Proficiency in Cost Planning, including forecasting, budgeting, and supporting pre- and post-contract financial planning.
  • Ability to produce clear and accurate Cost Reporting, including periodic financial statements, variance analyses, and projections.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with standard forms of contracts and procurement methods in the construction industry.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary project teams.
