Procurement Assistant

The Procurement Assistant supports group-wide purchasing of materials, equipment, supplies, and services, with a focus on timely and cost-effective procurement, accurate records, supplier coordination, and policy compliance.
The role reports to the Procurement Manager or Head of Procurement.
Key responsibilities
- Source suppliers, obtain quotations, and prepare price comparisons.
- Prepare purchase requests and purchase orders and maintain procurement records.
- Coordinate with suppliers on quotations, deliveries, invoices, and payment status; liaise with internal departments to meet requirements on time.
- Track purchase orders and delivery schedules; verify delivery documents and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Maintain supplier databases and procurement files; support inventory monitoring and coordinate with stores when required.
- Follow procurement policies, approval procedures, and quality standards; perform other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in construction, real estate, facilities management, or hospitality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as Odoo, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
- Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
