Presales Engineer

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyze customer technical and business requirements; design and architect ICT and data center solutions.
• Prepare technical proposals, solution designs, BoQs, and solution sizing; respond to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and tenders.
• Prepare technical documentation, scopes of work, and statements of compliance.
• Deliver technical presentations and solution demonstrations; support sales meetings and opportunity development.
• Coordinate solution development and pricing with technology vendors and partners; support costing and commercial activities.
• Participate in proof-of-concept activities when required and clarify technical matters during bidding and negotiation.
• Support project handover to implementation teams and maintain current knowledge of enterprise infrastructure and data center technologies.

Technical experience

• Strong understanding of one or more areas: servers and compute; storage, SAN/NAS; networking; virtualization; backup and disaster recovery.
• Other listed areas include business continuity and high availability, data center infrastructure and security, cloud and hybrid cloud, and enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Experience with Cisco, HPE, Dell, VMware, Microsoft, Fortinet, Sophos, Huawei, Veeam, Azure, or AWS is advantageous.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant ICT or IT infrastructure presales experience.
• Strong experience in data center, enterprise infrastructure, or systems integration environments.
• Hands-on solution design, BoQ preparation, and technical proposal development; strong understanding of RFP/RFQ/RFI and tender processes.
• Excellent written and verbal English, presentation, and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to work with sales, technical teams, vendors, and customers; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• UAE/GCC experience is advantageous.
• Immediate joiners or candidates available to relocate immediately are preferred.

Compensation and benefits

• Salary is AED 7,000–10,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability.
