About the role

Work setting

• Work is based at Al Zorah Beach Resort in Ajman, United Arab Emirates.
• The duties cover guest rooms, public areas, kitchens and back-of-house facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair water supply, drainage, sanitary fixtures and associated plumbing equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve leaks, blockages, water pressure issues and other plumbing faults; perform preventive maintenance.
• Install, replace and repair pipes, valves, fittings, taps, toilets, showers and other plumbing fixtures.
• Maintain plumbing installations across guest rooms, public areas, kitchens and back-of-house facilities.
• Assist with maintaining water pumps, storage tanks and hot water distribution systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency plumbing incidents; coordinate multi-trade repairs with Engineering colleagues.
• Record completed work, inspections and material usage; follow safety and water hygiene procedures.
• Keep work areas clean and minimize disruption to guests and resort operations.

Qualifications and experience

• At least 2 years of practical plumbing maintenance experience; hotel, resort or large commercial property experience is preferred.
• A technical certificate or vocational training in Plumbing or a related trade is preferred.
• Good knowledge of water supply, drainage, sanitary installations and plumbing maintenance procedures.
• Ability to identify faults and carry out repairs independently; familiarity with pumps, valves, pipe fittings and hot water systems.
• Ability to read basic plumbing drawings and technical instructions.
• Understanding of workplace safety and preventive maintenance practices.
• Basic English communication skills to understand instructions and coordinate with colleagues.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and respond to emergency maintenance requirements.
