Education and certifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related major is required.
- PMP certification or Primavera P6 Advanced Application Certification is preferred.
Experience and local knowledge
- At least 6 years of planning management experience in construction, including at least 2 years of schedule control on Dubai residential construction projects.
- Experience compiling and controlling overall, phase, and special plans for large residential projects, including construction, material-entry, and acceptance milestones.
- Familiarity with Dubai residential construction schedule requirements and the effects of local approval processes.
- Familiarity with local subcontractor and supplier performance and the ability to predict schedule risks.
Professional skills
- Proficiency in Critical Path Method (CPM) and Gantt chart scheduling.
- Skilled use of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Ability to monitor schedules, analyze deviations, and formulate corrective measures.
- Ability to optimize schedules for approvals, weather, labor management, and other local factors.
- Familiarity with schedule-related contract clauses and schedule-claim risks.
Core responsibilities
- Compile and control project schedules for large residential construction projects.
- Monitor schedule performance, analyze deviations, and develop corrective actions.
- Optimize schedules to support on-time delivery while accounting for local project conditions.
- Identify schedule bottlenecks and risks early and formulate response plans.
- Coordinate departments to fulfill schedule responsibilities.
Core competencies and language
- Fluent English is the working-language requirement; basic Arabic proficiency is preferred.
- The role calls for logical thinking, data analysis, communication, coordination, teamwork, risk prediction, rigor, time management, and execution.
