Operations Specialist - LNG Process

Job purpose

Asset operations and readiness

• Support Expansion and Start-up Management on current and future asset operations and participate in major asset management issues and decisions.
• Advise on operations readiness, commissioning, start-up, and early operations for plant changes and projects.
• Develop opportunity identification and best-practice approaches, align priorities across functions, and track performance against corporate objectives and asset KPIs.
• Follow up abnormal plant conditions during start-up and stabilization, assess technical problems, and develop solutions.
• Conduct PSP assessments and emergency drill planning with department heads and report lessons learned.
• Update the Asset/Start-up Division Reference Plan for asset equipment and facilities.

Performance, risk, and change management

• Promote technical best practices, coordinate process studies with Maintenance and Engineering, and prepare performance and communication forum reports.
• Prepare the Alarm Review Team charter, document meeting outcomes, track EMOC progress, and report alarm-management progress monthly.
• Maintain the division issue register and track MOC, projects, procedure changes, safety performance, audits, shutdown scope changes, and corrective actions.
• Facilitate risk screenings, formal risk assessments, RCFA, MOC, and MVT reviews; maintain the risk register and track operations-risk actions through closeout.
• Prepare criticality assessments for operating procedures and standing instructions for endorsement.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Eight years’ experience in LNG Process Operations.
• Working experience in a change management role and in implementing business improvement programmes.

Technical and business skills

• Flexible and innovative, with a focused, pragmatic approach to complex problem-solving and determination to deliver results.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Creative thinking to resolve complex people, facilities, business, and work-process problems.
