Role overview
Monitor and maintain daily operations and performance of solar PV plants using SCADA and monitoring systems.
Operations and maintenance
- Plan and execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot PV modules, inverters, transformers, medium-voltage systems, switchgear, trackers, SCADA, and auxiliary systems.
- Monitor plant performance, availability, performance ratio, generation, and equipment reliability.
- Analyze SCADA data to identify performance losses and recurring equipment failures.
- Coordinate maintenance with OEMs, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives.
- Maintain maintenance schedules, plans, inspection checklists, and work orders; complete corrective work promptly to minimize downtime.
- Conduct root cause analysis for major equipment failures and recurring issues.
Safety, reporting, and improvement
- Monitor spare parts, critical equipment, tools, and consumables required for maintenance.
- Comply with PTW, LOTO, HSE procedures, and electrical safety requirements; support emergency response and breakdown maintenance.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly O&M and performance reports and maintain equipment history, maintenance records, and technical documentation.
- Support performance testing, warranty claims, and OEM technical investigations.
- Identify plant performance improvement and cost optimization opportunities.
- Coordinate planned shutdowns and major maintenance activities with relevant stakeholders.
Systems and procedures
- Work with solar PV plant equipment and SCADA monitoring systems to monitor performance and troubleshoot faults.
- Apply PTW, LOTO, HSE procedures, and electrical safety requirements.
- Maintain O&M schedules, checklists, work orders, reports, and technical records.
