Oversees offshore jack-up rig drilling activities, safety compliance, operational continuity, and shift handovers.
Location and work arrangement
- Work location is offshore in Abu Dhabi.
- The role follows a 28-days-on, 28-days-off rotation.
Responsibilities
- Represent the company during night shifts and ensure compliance with drilling programs and safety regulations.
- Document operations, equipment usage, and incidents; hand over clearly to the Day Drilling Supervisor.
- Coordinate wellsite teams and service contractors on logistics, procedures, and drilling execution.
- Address operational challenges and emergencies safely to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate across departments and update the Head of Drilling on operational status.
Required qualifications and experience
- Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Petroleum Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 10 years in E&P as a Drilling Engineer and Supervisor.
- At least 5 years as a Night Drilling Supervisor on offshore jack-up rigs.
- At least 3 years of relevant UAE oil and gas experience.
- Valid industry-required drilling, completion, and workover certifications, such as IWCF/WELLSHARP.
- Excellent written and spoken English, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Compensation and benefits
- Salary is to be discussed; an offshore allowance is provided for days worked offshore.
- Round-trip economy airfare, single-status accommodation, health insurance, and meals are provided.
- Probation period is six months.
Working hours
- Offshore hours are 06:30–18:30, seven days per week.
- Onshore Abu Dhabi hours are 07:00–15:00, five days per week.
