Role overview
Operate and support network security services to maintain secure and reliable network infrastructure and threat management solutions.
Responsibilities
- Operate and support firewalls, mail gateways, proxies, NAC solutions, and other network security tools.
- Create firewall policies and manage changes, using AlgoSec for reviews and validations.
- Administer and troubleshoot network security devices and platforms across on-premises environments.
- Maintain secure configurations, availability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot network and security issues using traffic analysis and packet capture.
- Support security audits and reporting; escalate complex issues and potential threats.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols and concepts, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, malware analysis, and threat detection.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, WAF, API security, DDoS, IPS, mail gateways, proxies, and NAC solutions.
- Knowledge of on-premises secure configurations and operations.
- Practical network troubleshooting experience, including traffic analysis and packet capture.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proactive continuous-improvement mindset, and communication and documentation skills.
Preferred certifications
- CCNA Security, CCNP Security, PNSCE, NSE4, or NSE7 certifications are highly desirable.
